AVIONIC PRACTICES covers all basic skills such as safety precautions for workshop,
implementation of workshop practices, handling the tools in basic learning of electric
system, semiconductor components circuit and their application in basic electronic
circuits, where components are soldered on a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and when in
control of an automatic control mechanism called servomechanism. It also provides the
basic concept and application of Digital Logic, Data Conversion & Buses, Electronic
Instrument System, Basic Computer Structure, Electrostatic & Electromagnetic and
Typical Electronic/Digital Aircraft Systems.
MAINTENANCE PRACTICES course covers the basic learning in the field of aviation such as safety precautions for (aircraft and workshop), implementation of good workshop practices, tools handling, understanding and identifying the engineering drawings, diagrams and standards, fits and clearances, practising and performing the electrical cables and connectors works. Moreover, other important elements of basic engineering such as riveting, pipes and hoses, springs bearings, transmissions, control cables, aircraft handling and storage, disassembly, inspection, repair and assembly techniques, abnormal events are also emphasised. The course also includes maintenance procedures and associated documentation.
